ORLANDI Sells its TruEssence® Product Line to Arcade Beauty
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New York, NY – November 27, 2023 – ORLANDI, INC., a leading international supplier of fragrance and cosmetic sampling products, is pleased to announce the successful sale of its TruEssence® scented strips product line to Arcade Beauty.
The transaction includes the sale of certain laboratory and slurry production equipment, the related intellectual property of TruEssence® as well as the lease for the facility located at 7026 Discovery Drive, Chattanooga, Tennessee. As a result, ORLANDI will no longer manufacture or sell TruEssence® scented strips beginning January 2024.
"We see this divestiture as a win-win for ORLANDI, our customers and the beauty industry as a whole. Given the decline in magazine print volumes, the scented strip business had structural overcapacity. This consolidation will correct this trend and will secure the long-term availability of this sampling technology for our common customers in the future," said Sven Dobler, CEO of ORLANDI.
"The divestiture of our scented strips product line is part of our strategic plan to invest in our other sampling technologies, innovation, as well as in our scented retail product lines,” said ORLANDI's Senior Vice President, Per Dobler.
As part of the acquisition, ORLANDI and Arcade Beauty will be working closely to ensure a smooth transition for employees, customers, and suppliers.
